There may be invisible bonuses created by purchasing a high definition television set. Realizing that the price of a new set is still rather expensive, with most sets beginning at just under $1000, it seems that many consumers are postponing their purchases until the prices decrease. With this having been said, there are still ways that high definition television can actually save money. High definition digital viewing of television programs allows a front-row seat at shows like David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, and many others.

Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-46V5100 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black Reviewed by Raymond J. Biasotti (Northern California USA)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)
All the recent "rave" reviews are correct. This was the best purchase (of many) that we did a little '. This TV has changed our lifestyle a bit '! It's soooo nice to see with vivid, clear picture.
Great sound system inside. N. glare on the screen. Great menu for fine-tuning. Only improvement I see is an answer fast channel changing, but it is also faster than our other (Sharp) flat screen.
Samsung LN52B750 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV With Charcoal Grey Touch Of Color Reviewed by B. Haverlock (Orange County, CA)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)
Let me start by saying I'm probably the pickiest person when it was the image quality, response time and input. I started looking for a nice big LCD long ago. In the end I decided to buy a 52 inch Samsung model 2 years ago, but only the model at 60 Hz, with a reaction time of 8 milliseconds from Amazon. In particular LCD was useless, in fact, came with a few stuck pixels, and has been plagued by ghosting. I would say that the answer was somewhere in the range 200-400ms for some high-contrast colors. E 'pillaring was horrible on both sides of the LCD, I can not ignore the scenes with a lot of solid color. I basically did the search at this point and returned the TV because I was so unhappy with her.

| Review by Frank Conner (NEWNAN, GEORGIA) 2010-07-25 I can barely hear the audio on my new Sharp 19" LCD HDTV with the volume cranked up all the way, and with no distracting noises in the room. I had owned several Sharp TVs in the past, and until now I considered them to be good-quality no-frills TV sets. No more.... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Mark Karber (HOUSTON, TX) 2010-05-13 I viewed the 60" Aquos at a local store, and found it here for about the same price with no tax. I had it shipped to me, which took about 10 days. The first time I hooked it up, it seemed ok. The picture was middling range. The blacks could be deeper, the contrast better, and the screen was more ref... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by sagrc18 (USA) 2010-07-06 Excellent picture quality. The Quattron really does create better colors. I got a 32 inch samsung un32c6500 from HHGregg before I returned it for this Sharp. They let me have the samsung for $975 plus tax, and when I explained how TERRIBLE the backlight bleeding was on the samsung, the guy let me... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Jerry Palmerino Jr (UNITED STATES) 2010-06-08 We just had a baby a few months ago and wanted a wall mountable TV. With a built-in DVD player, this was supposed to be the perfect TV for the job. It is extremely lightweight and mounts using an arm very easily. It only takes four screws and has standard mounting holes. Read more reviews | ||
